January newsletter
With World cancer Day on 4th February, it is important to celebrate the ground-breaking research into cancer immunotherapy treatments, if you live locally please look out for our article in VantagePoint magazine – or read it here (link to article).
We always like to give our readers an update on the research progress and we’re pleased to say that the labs are still open and researchers continue to work on a rota basis. The research has been aided hugely in recent months thanks to Incucyte, an imaging system which films cells in the incubator when cancer killing drugs are added to them. The technology analyses the images, creates high quality graphs and statistics, saving many man hours. It can also be accessed from researchers from their home offices. It represents a ‘gold standard’ piece of equipment for labs and we are delighted that ToC have access to it. (see image of it in separate word document)
