We celebrated the coronation of King Charles III at an open garden at Great Tangley Manor. Home to Rufus, the Red King in 1097 and to Henry I, King Stephen and Henry Plantagenet in the 12th century. Royal visitors included King John and, several hundred years later, Edward VI, George V, Queen Mary and Albert, later George VI, so what better place to conclude the Royal festivities.
Despite the gloomy weather, we had a wonderful turn out and everyone seemed to enjoy the opportunity to explore the stunning 5 acres of gardens, as well as some of the rooms, and view a selection of King Charles’ artwork on display. All whilst enjoying a picnic and live music.
We were blown over by raising £8,500!
Thank you to everyone who attended and a special thank you to Belgravia Gallery for donating a selection of King Charles’ artwork.
