Being told that you have got cancer can be a life changing event. Your emotions may vary from despair, fear, anger and denial. The first reaction is “Why me?” It may be difficult to focus on the many decisions you have to make about which immunotherapy treatment to undergo and when to begin that process.
We know that every journey is different, but we can help you with advice, guidance, practical tips and support, making it all seem a little less scary for you, and those that love you.
We offer a variety of support groups to help you on that journey:
ToCFit - an exercise support group for people living with or recovering from cancer. Research shows that exercise protects against some cancers and other diseases. And helps improve mental well-being no end.
ToCVoices - a cancer choir. Research proves that singing produces hormones that greatly support the immune system and boosts feelings of wellbeing. An opportunity to connect, chat and sing some really uplifting contemporary pop songs as well as original songs written by our wonderful talented choir leader, Emily.
Cancer Cafe Chat - a relaxed and friendly patient-led support group where you can meet and talk to others who understand what you are going through, provide emotional support and activities.
There are no charges and we welcome patients, survivors, carers, families and anyone with an interest in cancer.
